GAMEDAY INFORMATION

ARRIVE EARLY

  • It's going to be a busy weekend on the Forty Acres! We recommend allowing extra travel time to park and arrive at the game with plenty of time to locate your seat. Be sure to check the timeline so you don't miss any of the in-stadium activities and entertainment. Leaving prohibited items at home or in your car will speed up entry into the stadium for you and other guests.

GAMEDAY TIMELINE: Notre Dame presented by Southwest Airlines (Sunday, Sept. 4)

  • 7 a.m.: Parking lots open
  • 9 a.m.: Ticket office opens outside Gate 8
  • 3:30 p.m.: Texas Football Fan Fest presented by Texas Lottery begins in the Red McCombs Red Zone (enter Gates 8, 14, 16 or 25)
  • 4 p.m.: Champions Club and east entrance to Longhorn Corral Club opens
  • 4:15 p.m.: Stadium Stampede (corner of 23rd St. and San Jacinto)
  • 4:25 p.m.: Live concert by Django Walker at Fan Fest
  • 4:30 p.m.: Pedestrian traffic on San Jacinto Blvd. (between MLK Blvd. and 21st St.) moved off street and onto sidewalk
  • 4:30 p.m.: Gates open to Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium – NO RE-ENTRY AFTER GATES OPEN!
  • 6:20 p.m.: Longhorn Band enters
  • 6:26 p.m.: National Anthem performed by Jack Ingram
  • 6:27 p.m.: C-130J Super Hercules flyover by U.S. Air Force 61st Airlift Squadron based at Little Rock AFB
  • 6:33 p.m.: Bevo XV public debut
  • 6:35 p.m.: "The Eyes of Texas" and team introduction
  • 6:38 p.m.: Honorary captain introduction -- Texas Gov. Greg Abbott
  • 6:39 p.m.: Coin toss
  • 6:42 p.m.: Kickoff
  • In game: Men's Basketball alumni reunion and championship recognitions; 2016 Frek Haskins Award winner recognition with Beau Hossler; Ryder Club presentation with Men's Golf head coach John Fields and Texas-ex Ben Crenshaw
  • Halftime: Longhorn Band performance; 2006 Rose Bowl / 2005 National Championship celebration; Joe Jamail recognition
