Texas No. 2 seed for NCAA Volleyball Championships plays Sacred Heart

The NCAA announced Texas as the No. 2 National Seed for the 2021 NCAA Volleyball Championship. No. 2 Texas hosts Sacred Heart at Gregory Gym on Thursday Dec. 2 at 7 p.m.
Coach Elliott, in his media availability after the NCAA brackets were announced, made a request of Longhorns fans, saying, “We just need the Longhorns fans. We have a chance to do something special. Historically, we have not been able to sell out the first and second rounds and we need to be able to do that. They would give us a big burst.”

We asked the coach about possible areas other potential weaknesses Texas may have that other teams may try to target them on. Here is his response:
Texas may have the toughest bracket of all. No. 7 seed Kentucky, last years National Champions who beat Texas in the final match, are in the same bracket as Texas. There is a possibility that the two teams will meet again for a rematch.
