AUSTIN, Texas – Texas head softball coach announced the addition of former Texas Lutheran infielder Cassie Roche as a transfer addition to the Longhorns’ roster.

“We're excited to have Cassie join our program for the 2021 season,” White said. “She will provide depth to our infield, while adding another speed threat on the base paths and bringing along valuable postseason experience to our squad.”

Roche helped to TLU win the Div. III national championship in 2019, hitting .324, led the Bulldogs with six home runs and 32 runs batted in and was a perfect 31-of-31 on stolen base attempts to earn second-team National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-West Region honors.

In her 148-game Texas Lutheran career, she hit .361, collected 133 hits and 57 walks, stole 79 bases, hit 33 doubles and 11 home runs and drove in 90 runs.
