The Longhorns picked up their school-record 15th run-rule victory by pounding host Kansas, 10-1, Saturday in five innings.
Brooke Bolinger got the start and struck out five in four innings to pick up the win and improve to 9-3 on the season. Bouncing back from an ankle injury suffered earlier this month, freshman Shealyn O’Leary came on for one inning of relief and and struck out two while lowering her NCAA-leading ERA to a mere 0.50.

Mary Iakopo was at it again with a two RBI while Lauren Burke went 2-for-2 with three RBI. Janae Jefferson was busy by reaching base three times, twice on walks, and had two RBIs and two runs scored in the win.
Texas pushed across one run in the first before adding three more in the second and busting the game open with six runs in the third inning.
The Longhorns look for the sweep when they play Kansas in the series finale at noon Sunday.
