FORT WORTH, Texas – No. 35 Texas (12-6, 4-2 Big 12) dropped the doubles point but produced four singles wins and rallied to a 4-3 victory over No. 28 TCU (11-4, 3-2 Big 12) Sunday afternoon at TCU's Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.

The Horned Frogs won doubles decisions at the third and first positions to lock up the doubles position, and TCU assumed a 2-0 lead before the Horns made their move.

Two-time All-America senior Breaunna Addison notched her 32nd singles win of the season and pulled Texas within 2-1 with her 6-2, 6-4 win over Marie Norris at first singles.

TCU scored an additional straight-sets win at fourth singles for a 3-1 lead before Texas closed the match with three straight wins to secure the 4-3 victory.  Senior Lana Groenvynck closed out a 6-2, 7-5 win over Alexis Pereira at sixth singles before junior Neda Koprcina finished off a 7-5, 1-6, 6-0 win over Caroline Wegner at second singles to even the match at three.

Sophomore Dani Wagland split her first two sets with TCU's Seda Arantekin at third singles before putting away a 6-2 third-set win to wrap up the 4-3 victory for the Longhorns.

Texas returns home for a pair of conference matches next weekend against West Virginia and Iowa State.

POST-MEET COMMENTS
Texas head coach Howard Joffe

At the risk of dousing out all the flames of passion from today's win, I really feel like we played quite poorly. I'd like to think that the level of tennis had everything to do with our inability to practice due to weather and the change in altitude from our match with Tech. I give our ladies all the credit in the world for hanging tough and finding ways to win while battling.
