The Last Touchdown at DKR by Roschon Johnson
Texas had only a four-point lead over Baylor with 6:28 left on the clock in the 4th quarter after Jaylan Ford intercepted a pass from Baylor’s Blake Shapen intended for Josh Cameron and took the ball 18 yards to the Baylor 42 yard line.
DKR erupts!
This would be the 12th drive of the game for Texas and with plenty of time to score while whittling down the clock. First two plays of the drive, Bijan Robinson carried the ball for 17 yards. Now it is Roschon Johnson’s turn.
In his last game at DKR as a Texas Longhorn, Johnson finished out the drive with four plays: up the middle for 13 yards, up the middle for six yards, and again, up the middle for another six yards. Baylor calls a timeout with 3:54 left in the game.
Johnson, a former standout quarterback turned running back when he got to Texas, takes a direct snap and rushes (not up the middle) right as the OL collapses the middle. Baylor’s #11 sophomore cornerback Lorando Johnson takes a direct path and he dives to cut his legs out, but Roschon takes one step up, at the perfect time, and leaps over Johnson like he was a hurdle, lands and regains his footing that took him into the end zone for 11 yards and a Texas TOUCHDOWN that gave Texas a 38-27 lead with 3:48 left in the game.

That was Roschon Johnson’s second touchdown of the game and he caught 13 passes for a total of 77 yards.
Sarkisian said Johnson’s play after the game in the postgame news conference, “Incredible hurdle that should be on every highlight reel tonight.”
A moment Texas will not soon forget and for Roschon Johnson he likely will never forget.
