Toni Hakula Set to Make Professional Debut this Week in Oklahoma

MIAMI, Okla. -- Former Texas Men’s Golf standout Toni Hakula will make his professional debut this week on the Adams Pro Tour at the Buffalo Run Prairie Moon Casinos Classic beginning Wednesday, June 11, at Peoria Ridge Golf Club.
“It was always my ambition to turn pro after finishing college and I am so excited this day has finally arrived,” Hakula said. “I want to excel as a worldwide player and am forever thankful to The University of Texas for preparing me for this over the last four years.”
Hakula, the 2013 British Amateur Championship runner-up, will play a combination of Adams, PGA TOUR Canada and NGA Tour events this summer. He is also scheduled to make two appearances on the European Challenge Tour in addition to Mondayqualifiers for Web.com Tour events.
A four-year letterwinner for the Longhorns, Hakula won twice in 2013 at the Spirit International and New Year’s Invitational. He was a member of Texas’ 2012 NCAA Championship squad, as well as back-to-back Big 12 Championships in 2013 and 2014.
