Torchlight Parade Gets Horns Ready For UT vs. OU

The Texas Football Team gathered with the Longhorn Band, many UT spirit organizations, UT Students and Fans under the UT Tower to celebrate the Torchlight parade and rally in preparation for the UT vs. Oklahoma game this Saturday in Dallas.
Longhorn Network aired the Parade and Rally on TV.
The band started off the night, followed by the "Hellraisers" teaching the fans a chant. Then Texas football team joined the crowd on stage. Mack Brown gave the first speech for the team, and then let seniors Mason Walters, Jackson Jeffcoat, and Case McCoy say a few words to the crowd. Then strength and conditioning coach Jeff "Mad Dog" Madden taught the fans a few of the team's favorite cheers.
Following Mad Dog, the cheerleaders performed a dance number and a few awards were given for some of the spirit competitions that took place this week. The night closed with Texas APO draping the world's largest Texas flag over the side of the UT Main Building and the band leading the crowd in "The Eyes of Texas."
