Toros set to host UToros night on March 6th

AUSTIN, TX (February 27, 2014) — On March 6th, the Austin Toros will host an inaugural University of Texas night, UToros Night, at the Cedar Park Center. UToros Night is the brainchild of a unique, experiential collaboration between Toros management and the UT Sport Management Master’s program. Together, the two groups have reached out to members of the undergraduate and graduate student communities at UT, in addition to the school’s faculty, staff, alumni and fans in an effort to garner a university infused experience and spirit in Northwest Austin. Fans are encouraged to show their UT and Toros pride by wearing burnt orange or black for the night’s matchup versus the Bakersfield Jam. This will be the first time that these two teams will meet this season. Players for both teams sported burnt orange during their collegiate careers.
Specifically, former Longhorn stars Myck Kabongo and Dexter Pittman will lead the Toros as they take on fellow Texas-Ex Damion James of Bakersfield.
UToros Night will feature cost-friendly packages for this remote college-oriented experience.
Ticket prices start at $6 with rates for floor seats as low as $35. The UT-heavy fan base will also have access to $3 beer specials as well as online pre-sale specials. These advance specials include: tickets discounted by as much as 40%, half-off parking, and a game day hot dog + soda for $3. To take advantage of these unique offers, fans must purchase their package by March 3. Game tickets, parking, and food vouchers can be purchased through the following link: https://toros.wufoo.com/forms/utorosnight/
Other elements of the night will include a post-game autograph session by the Toros and a free pre-game basketball skills clinic for young players. Future Longhorn hopefuls can attend this clinic with the purchase of a game ticket and pre-registration. The clinic will run from 4:15 - 5:30.
