A Touch Of Class With Honor

Walking into DKR up the elevators to the press box area there is the most amazing display of class you can imagine. Of course, Texas does everything first class, but this one is special.

Walking in there is a special table setup underneath the words “Bill Little Media Center with a photo collage, flowers and a round burnt orange lapel pins for the taking with two white letters BL.

The media center is a long floor with multiple working suites for all things media: tv, radio, press, team analyst, tech, etc. On the right side is the press room for Texas only communications.

In honor of the passing of Bill Little, longtime Texas sports information director, Texas reserved “the” seat where Bill sat during games.

This was his actual seat during games.

On the wall behind the Texas area are photos with Texas Hall of Honor Sports Informations Directions. Little’s photo highlighted.

The honor continues. There are possibly a hundred media folks coming and going, hustling and bustling. The game is around lunch time so Texas provides a little snack/meal (aka burrito) for those who may need some energy.

The first option was ‘The Bill Little,’ a seasoned beef, jack cheese, cilantro, and onions burrito.

Today is the first game of the season, but we should call it Bill Little Day!

I like exploring the why's and have three objectives. First is to give value to those who would spend time with our content. Second is to be respectful of others and for the opportunity to tell a positive story about all of the Texas Longhorns teams, players, and coaches regardless of their record. Lastly, to put wind in the sails of others using the Horns Illustrated platform. Life is GOOD!
