What’s the difference between Texas and Alabama? Massive consistency would be the first obvious difference. Consistency provides some degree of predictability. However…

All that went out the window when Alabama came to Texas and barely walked away with the win. Yes, the crowd had a factor helping to put Alabama in an unsettling environment as admitted by several Alabama players.

If you look at the first game of the 2023 season for both teams and compare the outcomes, they are extremely close side-by-side. Texas had 458 total yards, Alabama 431 yards. Quinn Ewers threw 260 yards passing, Jalen Milroe had 194 yards with a better completion rate, 63% and 72% respectively, though Ewers threw almost twice as many passes.
