Austin Mayor to Proclaim Jan. 30 ‘Mack and Sally Brown Day’

Austin Mayor Lee Leffingwell will honor Mack and Sally Brown by proclaiming Jan. 30 "Mack and Sally Brown Day" in Austin. The proclamation ceremony will take place tonight at 5:30 p.m. at Austin's city hall.
The city said the proclamation will recognize the Browns for their years of devoted service to Austin and the University of Texas.

State Sen. Kirk Watson will make a presentation on behalf of the Texas State Senate and UT student body president Horacio Villareal will make a presentation on behalf of the university.
The ceremony will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday in the council chambers at City Hall.
