Quinn Ewers, unless he steps up his game considerably, will be the place kick holder next year, provided that Arch Manning is still coming to Texas and he does not redshirt his freshman season.
Sarkisian has set the bar high for his quarterback room by attracting what may be a Cyborg 4000 model of quarterback to Texas considering Manning’s pedigree. However, it may be wise to hold off on placing to many expectations on the young man, like fans did with Ewers.
If Manning does play and/or start next season, and if he lives up to his name, you would imagine Quinn Ewers not being satisfied as a place kick holder.
Before getting too amped up about Manning, we must remember he will be a freshman in college football and it is a completely different game than high school. However, you would expect that his uncles Peyton and Eli will be providing some serious insight.
Sarkisian did say that the quarterback position will be open for competition in the spring meaning Ewers has not secured that position for next season.
Hudson Card deserved more playing time at Texas, and that is all we are going to say about that!
