Jordan Spieth was unable to pull off a win over Bubba Watson in the final match of group play finishing 1-1-1 which put him tied for second in his group leaving him out of the Group of 16 bracket play over the weekend. Spieth halved his match with Billy Horschel, won on Thursday against ultimate group winner Kevin Na. Spieth would’ve advanced with a win over Watson on Friday but couldn’t quite pull it off. Spieth started the round by losing the first 4 holes. He fought back to get to within 1 but couldn’t overtake Watson thereby sending Na to the weekend bracket.
