Remember when Jordan Spieth…

With all the world-class talent consistently running through the University of Texas, all of us at HI are getting used to saying "I knew them when...."
Case in point: One of my favorite images from our photo shoot with Dylan Frittelli and then freshman Jordan Spieth. "I knew him when... he carried his own bag."
For the June 2012 issue of Horns Illustrated we featured Spieth and Frittelli on the cover of the magazine standing in front of the scorecard from Tom Kite and Ben Crenshaw's National Championship 40 years prior (1972) with the headline "Chasing History". A few weeks later the pair caught history as they lead the team to the 2012 National Championship.
As seen by his performance at The 2014 Masters, Spieth continues continues to chase history. Something tells me he'll find a few more record books to carve his name into.
