The Texas Tip-Off kicks off the University of Texas Men's and Women's Basketball programs today at Gregory Gym.
From a 3-point shootout and dunk contest to food trucks and tunes, both squads are teaming up to start the season with a free event in the heart of The University of Texas campus. [place_ad_1]
Get there early, as the festivities begin at 4:30 and only the first 3,000 people in line will be admitted inside Gregory Gym. Seating for today is general admission on a first-come, first-served basis. Fans are encouraged to line up outside the gym entrance in advance of the doors opening at 6 p.m. The entrance to Gregory Gym is at the top of the stairs on the west side of the gymnasium.
Even more reason to get down there early, the first 1,000 fans to enter Gregory Gym will receive a Texas Tip-Off T-shirt. Free parking for this event is available in the Brazos Garage.
The Men’s team opens the regular season at home against Eastern Illinois on Tuesday, Nov. 6. Tip is set for 7 p.m. Central at the Frank Erwin Center, and the game will be televised by Longhorn Network. [place_ad_1]
The Women’s squad begins their 2018-19 regular season on Thursday, Nov. 8 when they play host to Duquesne at the Erwin Center.
