Brad Buckman—Basketball (2002-2006)
The former University of Texas basketball player grew up not far from the 40 Arces in Westlake Hills and went to high school at Westlake High School.
Buckman came to Texas as a 2002 McDonald’s All-American Forward.
While at Texas, Buckman averaged 8.6 points per game in his 129 career games as a Longhorn. His best season was his junior season when he averaged 12.5 points per game and 8.3 rebounds per game.
Buckman played all four years at Texas and upon his graduation he went to play European basketball. Buckman has played in Germany and Spain, but is now currently playing in Turkey for Beşiktaş.
Last season Buckman started the season in Spain with a team called Cajasol, but moved to Germany following the winter break to a team called the Art. Dragons. In Germany, Buckman averaged 7.7 points per game and averaged 6.2 rebounds per game.
