As a setter for the Texas volleyball team from 2004 to 2007, Moriarty started all four years, serving as captain for three of those years. The All-American still holds the record for most career assists with 5,819.

After her collegiate career, Moriarty moved to Manhattan Beach, Calif., to pursue her dream of becoming a professional beach volleyball player. She learned a lot her first summer on the sand and carried that experience onto the indoor court when she joined a professional league in Switzerland. Six months later, Moriarty returned to the South Bay — this time to Hermosa Beach, Calif.. Michelle’s entering her third year as a professional beach volleyball player and looks forward to many more successful and fun years ahead.
