The Red River Rivalry changes sponsors to Allstate Red River Rivalry

Allstate, a prominent supporter of college sports, has been named the title sponsor of the renowned football game between the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners. The matchup, which dates back to 1900 and takes place at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, will now be known as the Allstate Red River Rivalry. This change will take effect for the 119th meeting between the two universities on October 7th.

Allstate's involvement in college sports spans decades, with its iconic field goal nets, cornerstone scholarship program, and individual college sports sponsorship initiatives.

In 2004 SBC Communications was the title sponsor for the Red River Rivalry, then AT&T in 2014 when the two companies merged.

Both schools have fierce competition making this rivalry one of the most storied in college football. The sponsorship also extends to Allstate's existing partnerships with both the Longhorns and the Sooners.

Chris Del Conte, Texas VP and Athletics Director commented, “We are thrilled to have such an outstanding, longtime Texas Longhorns partner as Allstate come on board to sponsor the greatest rivalry in all of college football. There is no better tradition than the Red River Rivalry in a more unique and perfect atmosphere like the State Fair of Texas and the Cotton Bowl with ‘The Line,’ the Golden Hat trophy and all of the pageantry and passion of both universities on full display.”

This year's Allstate Red River Rivalry game will be broadcast live on ABC, and the kickoff time will be announced at a later date. Fans can purchase tickets at texassports.com/tickets.
