Bromberg Adds Second Title at AT&T National Diving Championships

IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Texas incoming freshman Samantha Bromberg won the synchronized platform diving event to finish off a sweep of the platform events Sunday at the AT&T National Diving Championships.
Bromberg (Bexley, Ohio) teamed up with Ohio State’s Cheyenne Cousineau to win the synchronized platform event with 291.27 points. Bromberg, who competed in the synchronized platform event at the FINA World Championships last month, won the individual platform event on Saturday in Iowa City.
Incoming freshman Michael Hixon teamed up with Indiana’s Darian Schmidt to place second in the men’s three-meter synchronized diving event with 385.26 points. UT’s Cory Bowersox and Will Chandler placed third with 348.03 points.
UT senior Maren Taylor added a third-place finish in the three-meter final with 285.50 points. Junior transfer Emma Ivory-Ganja placed fourth with 274.20 points.
Incoming freshman Mark Anderson and Chandler competed individually in the men’s platform final where they placed seventh and eighth, respectively. Anderson took seventh place with 371.70 points while Chandler placed eighth with 362.80 points.
