Look for Texas Football to raise the bar against Kansas State
Coach Sarkisian watched Kansas State crush Oklahoma State 48-0 over the weekend with his son and they both did some evaluating on both sides of the ball.
Sarkisian commented in his Monday press conference about the Kansas State win as it related to Texas saying, “From a coach’s perspective I’d much rather that outcome was that way than the other way around going to play that opponent because, from a psyche from our players standpoint, I think to a man, anybody, that watched a tape, that got their attention. You know we’re getting ready to go play a really good team on Saturday.”
Texas plays better when the stakes are high and the opponent formidable — most notably Alabama.
Texas has four games left in the regular season and the next three teams are ranked better in the Big 12 Conference with Kansas State in second place. TCU is in first place and undefeated.
Kickoff on Nov. 5 is at 6 p.m. and will be aired on FS1.
